Clothing wholesaler Stage II, owner of brands Jorge and All About Eve, is expanding its retail empire again with the latest addition expected to attract more than one million visitors.

The brands, Jorge and All about Eve, established in 2008 and 2003 respectively, currently operate two combined stores in Tasmania, in Hobart and Launceston, and are now planning to add their first e-store to the mix next month.

The e-store, which will trade under the name Laundrie to match the existing retail stores, will offer access to 90 per cent of the All About Eve, Jorge, Deacon, St Goliath and Silent Theory ranges as well as free shipping to Australian residents.

The platform, created by Bliss Media in Melbourne, will also allow customers to share items via Facebook and Twitter, and will eventually incorporate a section within a blog where people can share what they are wearing on the street around the world.

Jorge & All about Eve marketing co-ordinator Lisa Kennedy said it's these features, along with the product sold on-site and the convenience of online shopping, which will distinguish Laundrie from the competition.

“We are hoping to have in excess of one million visitors including a 1000 unique visitors a day to the site within six months, plus have around 60,000 on our database. We are also hoping the site will be known amongst the target market as the place to shop for streetwear,” Kennedy said.

“Once our site is ready, we will also invest in a big marketing push for the Laundrie.com.au online site, with a large focus on PR, social media, online. The site will be our main marketing focus for the next 12 months, with possibly future plans to install iPads in stores that link to the site.”

Kennedy also revealed that the store will be used to promote and raise awareness of both brands ahead of plans to also expand on the bricks-and-mortar front.

“We currently have two stores in the market place, but in 2012 we will look to other Australian states for sites for potential stores, although there are no locations confirmed at this stage."
