UPDATE: The Sussan Group has officially confirmed two new appointments to its fold today, following a management shuffle.

Sportsgirl group people and development manager Robyn Batson today officially confirmed the appointment of former Sussan CEO Colleen Callander to the role of Sportsgirl CEO.

Batson revealed the appointment will also see current Sussan national retail operations manager Rebecca Hard promoted to the role of general manager of the Sussan business.

Hard has worked in both the Sportsgirl and Sussan businesses over the past 14 years.

The internal shift follows the resignation of Elle Roseby, current CEO of Sportsgirl.

Roseby's official replacement, Callander, was appointed as CEO of Sussan five years ago, having previously worked for Sportsgirl for nine years, including a role as a key member of the leadership team of the Sportsgirl business.

Sportsgirl has denied media reports today which claim that Sussan CEO Colleen Callander has replaced Elle Roseby as the chief of Sportsgirl.

When contacted by ragtrader.com.au this morning, representatives for the fashion chain denied the validity of the news on Callander but remained tight-lipped on Roseby's confirmed replacement.

As previously reported on ragtrader.com.au, Roseby was recently appointed to the role of Supré general manager, marking an end to her 16-year tenure at Sportsgirl.

Roseby served seven years as CEO of the brand and has been credited with driving the development of the brand in online and digital avenues.

Her touted replacement, Callander, has served more than five years as CEO of Sportsgirl sister brand Sussan.

Both Sporstgirl and Sussan are part of the Sussan Group group, which is wholly owned by Naomi Milgrom. Womenswear brand Suzanne Grae rounds out the group's fashion portfolio.

Supre, previously family-owned and operated by Hans and Helen van der Meulen, was acquired by the Cotton On Group last month.
