Sportsgirl is celebrating a ten year partnership with The Butterfly Foundation, a venture which has seen it raise over $2.6 million.
The Butterfly Foundation supports the prevention and treatment of eating disorders and body image issues.
The joint partnership has funded a number of projects, including a new Sydney child and adolescent day program.
It is set to continue as part of The Butterfly Foundation's annual camapign: Love Your Body Week, from September 5 to 11.
Sportsgirl will support the cause through the release of ‘Love Your Body Week’ products.
This includes a branded journal, a calico shopping bag and accessories.
All profits from the sale of these products will go to the Butterfly Foundation.
As part of the campaign, Sportsgirl has also engaged Australian influencers to create pledges focussed on positive body image.
Influencers include Melissa Hoyer, Becky Lomas, Paula Joye and Maddy King.
Australian blogger Jasmine Dowling has custom designed shirts for the influencers to wear, marking their pledge.
Sportsgirl CEO Colleen Callander said the retailer will promote the Week in-store and online.
"Sportsgirl has been raising public awareness, training and educating management and staff, stocking sizes 6 to 16, and ensuring there is a support system in place for team members who may be impacted."
