Melbourne and Sydney were the big winners in an annual sponsorship award presented by The Australian Fashion Foundation.

The Woolmark-sponsored internship was awarded to Talisa Trantino and Amie Jones, with Hannah Canham a runner up.

Trantino and Jones were awarded $20,000 each and a six month internship in the USA or Europe to pursue their creative talent.

Trantino is a Melbourne-based womenswear design graduate while Sydney-based Jones is a creative director, graphic designer, stylist and photographer.

Judges included Calvin Klein executive vice president Malcolm Carfrae; Conde Nast Asia's Nancy Pilcher; Australian fashion designer Dion Lee and; The Woolmark Company's director of the Americas, Michelle Lee.

The cocktail party to announce the winners was held at the Royal Hotel in Paddington, Sydney.

Also present at the event were Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann, Harper's BAZAAR editor-in-chief Kellie Hush and Australian fashion designer Michael Lo Sordo.
