Speedo Australia has signed Surf Lifesaving and Ironman star Kendrick Louis to partner with the swimwear brand.

It is the first time in over a decade that the brand has enlisted an Ironman to front a range of campaigns and brand initiatives.

As such Louis has taken part in Speedo’s 2017 photoshoot and is working alongside the brand to develop new racewear for Surf Lifesaving and Ironman athletes.

The sportsman said is he honoured to join the fold. “I'm absolutely thrilled to be the first Ironman in over ten years to be a part of the iconic Speedo family.

“They were the first ever brand I wore as a young kid, so for me, this means a hell of a lot.”

Speedo Pacific brand manager Graham Eyres believes lending support to Surf Lifesaving will be a positive step for the business.

“We are extremely pleased to announce our return to Surf Lifesaving with our support of Kendrick as he’s one of Australia’s most exciting talents in the sport.

"Speedo is about inspiring people to swim and we want to encourage people to add swimming to their multisport approach to fitness, just like Kendrick does.”

"Louis will also be involved in the brand’s global ‘Speedo Fit’ strategy which encourages athletes from a range of disciplines to complement their fitness regime with swimming.
