The former chief executive of Cue and Veronika Maine, Simon Schofield, has returned to Myer 15 years later as chief product officer.

Schofield confirmed the news via LinkedIn, saying his remit will cover the direction of the Myer Exclusive Brands across apparel, footwear and accessories; sleepwear and intimates across womenswear, menswear and childrenswear categories, as well as taking on executive responsibility for the Sass & Bide, Marcs and David Lawrence businesses.

This isn’t the first time Schofield has worked at Myer, having commenced his Australian career at the department store in 2010 as a planner for Miss Shop. Less than a year later, he moved over to Country Road Group as a merchandise planner before moving into general manager and managing director positions for Witchery and Trenery.

In 2024, Schofield then headed up Cue Clothing, running Cue and Veronika Maine brands for the last year and a half. He exited the business after both brands were sold to a UK company, with Trenery GM Melanie Remai taking the reins following his exit.

The latest move by Schofield also adds to an executive leadership revision this year at Myer, following the department store’s deal with Premier Investments to take on its five apparel brands – Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Jacqui E, Dotti and Portmans. This included appointing Kathy Karabatsas as the new Myer Group CFO.

Megan Collins was appointed as chief people officer, Belinda Slifkas as chief merchandise officer, Mark Medwell as chief information officer, and Darren Wedding as chief supply chain officer.

The roles that haven’t changed are chief customer officer Geoff Ikin, chief operating officer Tony Sutton, and chief transformation officer Andrew Taylor, with Olivia Wirth at the helm as executive chair.
