Iconic Australian womenswear designer Jenny Bannister believes online shopping is opening doors for Australian artisans.

Science fiction shopping - it's just coming to you on your device!

Online shopping,
Addiction or necessity ?

Right now, who can blame a busy person for googling a much needed wardrobe item, such as a cardigan?

My friend told me, "Designers may have a cardigan in their current range but the big question is...which designer and where is their bricks and mortar shop?"

Who can be bothered negotiating grid lock traffic, clearways, parking station fees and freeway driving when shopping is at your fingertips?

On your high tech mobile devices, no need to get out of bed really!

And it's only going to get BETTER.

With the new technology in the pipeline, you will be able to photograph someone in the street, in a great garment you want, and match it up online, find it and buy it.

As a passionate devourer of the most extreme and divine designer Australian artisans, I've been pushed by desire to go online to purchase their wares.

I see them on social media and in their underground shows.

I am living in a fabulous new world, far from a department store, which don't have my size or style.

Forget the big stores or the small boutique, most of my shopping prey is hunted down by flash posts on Facebook, twitter and Instagram or seeing it on a peep at a cool bar party.

Most of my list is unavailble in a shop! I want to share my online shops with you. Please add yours to my blog so we can keep the precious designer artisans on their Retail Trip of the Space Age!

Some have a website, some sell a minute amount to one or two retailers, maybe on consignment, which means sale or return, but that's not enough.

I'd love you all to add to this list, as its our peeps, making amazing wearable stuff for the globe!
