Luggage brand Samsonite is planning to open its new Australian flagship store at the Capitol Grand precinct on the corner of Toorak Road and Chapel Street in South Yarra, Melbourne.
According to Samsonite, the new flagship has been conceived as the ultimate expression of the Samsonite brand, adding that this brings more than 115 years of heritage the company’s heritage and travel expertise.
The store will showcase the complete portfolio of Samsonite, including premium luggage, business and lifestyle collections.
Key features of the space include a dedicated ‘Heritage Wall’ that commemorates Samsonite’s history and product styles, as well as Sam Cares service stations providing repair and aftercare support, and onsite luggage and accessories personalisation services.
The new flagship adds to over 1,100 stores managed by Samsonite Group globally, alongside a wide stockist portfolio in Australia through the likes of Strand, David Jones, Myer and The Iconic. The brand also holds stores in Australia, particularly at airports.
Samsonite Australia vice president Ari Priester said the opening of the Capitol Grand flagship store marks a defining moment for the brand in Australia.

The flagship store is set to open in November.
