Free by Cotton On and Russell Athletic have teamed up to release a sport-inspired line for teenagers.

The collaboration sees long and short-sleeved t-shirts, hoodies, track pants, a puffer jacket and socks launch nationally online and in selected Cotton On Kids and Cotton On Mega stores. Utilising a heritage colour palette, the range features red, navy blue, grey, white and black pieces which are all emblazoned with classic Russell Athletic arch and 'Eagle R' logos.

Senior marketing manager of Designworks Clothing Company (license holders of the Russell Athletic brand), Sharon Gibbons, said that partnership will allow Russell Athletic to tap into a new customer base.

"Aligning with the well-recognised and much respected Cotton On vision has given the Russell Athletic iconic sportswear heritage the opportunity to engage an exciting new demographic.”

Brand manager of Free x Cotton On, Danielle Harris, said that the range emanates a street-aesthetic.

"We’re excited to have created a range with a cool street aesthetic for teens that wants to be individual, sporty, stylish and comfortable.

"The partnership between Russell Athletic and Free X Cotton On has resulted in something fabulous and truly unique.

“This is a great creative partnership and it has generated a range of casual sporty clothes for a generation that loves freedom, comfort and a fresh aesthetic," she said.

The Free by Cotton On X Russell Athletic line is available now through Cotton On channels, while Russell Athletic will follow up with a September launch of the range to keep momentum going.
