Womenswear surfwear label Roxy has teamed up with NYC designer and surfer Cynthia Rowley on a new collaboration collection.

The range spans surf, snow and general apparel pieces, and has been constructed with breathable, lightweight fabrics and cuts to support movement.

"Functionality as part of design is to me the ultimate inspiration," Rowley said of the collection.

"Then knowing the end goal is fun and adventure? There’s just nothing better.

"I know I’m a much better designer than I am a surfer, but my passion and enthusiasm make up for it," she said.

The collection also builds on Roxy's sustainability mission, with pieces made from eco-conscious fabrications including nylon made from recycled waste such as fishing nets, limited solvent usage, wetsuits made from up to 25 recycled plastic bottles and water-saving dyeing processes.

"There is no boardriding without a deep respect and appreciation for nature," Roxy global head of design Stephanie Micci said.

"This is why Roxy has been so dedicated to making eco-conscious practices a key component of our collections.

"In saving water, textile, and mineral resources, we are able to minimise this collection's impact on the oceans, lakes and mountains that surround us, with the hope of helping future generations enjoy them as much as we do," she said.

The range features bright patterns and bold colours across swimwear, snow gear, footwear, hats and apparel.

The collection’s campaign is led by two of Roxy’s most acclaimed athletes: Olympic halfpipe gold medallist Chloe Kim and two time longboarding world champion Kelia Moniz.

The Roxy x Cynthia Rowley collection is available now and retails for between $29.99 and $499.99.
