Fashion etailer Beginning Boutique has staked an Australian first.
The company, which last month revealed its stellar turnover results, has confirmed it will be the first company in Australia to use Australia Post’s recently launched 2u2day courier service.
Beginning Boutique is set to launch the 2u2day service on January 21. The service will see orders placed before 10am will be delivered to selected Brisbane customers doorsteps by 6pm.
According to Beginning Boutique, the etailer was contracted by Australia Post to be the first to offer the door-to-door same day delivery service due to its already existing loyal customer base and efficient dispatch operations.
Beginning Boutique already offers free overnight shipping Australia wide, however, the addition will provide Brisbane Metro shoppers the option of same-day delivery, at no expense.
Commenting on the introduction of free same day shipping, Telstra Young Business Women nominee and owner of Beginning Boutique Sarah Timmerman said it is a game-changer.
“Customer service has always been the thing that I wanted Beginning Boutique to stand out for.
"Providing our local customers with free same day shipping extends our already exceptional customer service and puts us on par, if not ahead of physical stores as customers can now browse and buy online and have their purchase delivered to their workplace or waiting for them at home with the click of a mouse”.
The service will be available for those in selected suburbs of the Brisbane, Redland and Logan City Councils.
The site has also created a Postcode Calculator on its website for customers to input their postcode to see if they are eligible for the fast and free courier service.
This latest coup follows 150 per cent growth in sales last year for the etailer, along with a cult like social media following of more than 380,000 Facebook fans and 150,000 Instagram followers.
Last month, the company reported is on track to record its first multi-million dollar revenue in 2013-14.
2014 will also see the expansion of Beginning Boutique’s own label and the launch of a new website.
