Australian surf brand Rip Curl is extending its agreements with four world-class surfers.

Among those include current world number one, Molly Picklum, who Rip Curl has sponsored since 2018 at the beginning of her career.

The news comes amid the second iteration of Rip Curl's virtual pro surfing competition, which finishes up tomorrow. Those who have a Rip Curl SearchGPS watch could enter the competition, with their surfing data being used to decide the overall winner.

After her recent stint at the 2024 World Surf League season, Picklum’s extended sponsorship is intended to support her position as world number one.

"Rip Curl is excited to continue our partnership with Molly,” Rip Curl head of brand and marketing James Taylor said. “As a star of the sport and an all-round fantastic person, Molly shows complete dedication to becoming the best athlete she can, whilst maintaining her unique and engaging personality.

Picklum welcomed the continued agreement with Rip Curl.

“I’ve been with them since I was 14 years old,” she said. “I’m grateful for their support and proud of what we’ve achieved together.

“Women’s surfing is in such an exciting place, I hope we can inspire the next generation of groms together and push the boundaries of our sport."

Rip Curl is also extending agreements surfers Erin Brooks - who is the 2022 ISA World Junior Champion - and Alyssa Spencer and Crosby Colapinto, both of whom are rookies on the 2024 WSL championship tour.
