Australian surfing retailer Rip Curl and eight-time World Champion surfer Stephanie Gilmore have teamed up again to launch a third collaboration range.

Launching this July, the Rip Curl x Stephanie Gilmore Volume 3 Collection will cover a range of new colourways across apparel, swimwear and wetsuits. Featuring nostalgic graphics, heritage-inspired logos, washed textures and relaxed silhouettes, the collection is designed to be worn from surf to shore. Key pieces include the SG Heritage Oversized Fleece, denim silhouettes, oversized tees and performance wetsuits.

“Surf culture has such an incredible history of style, and I always find myself drawn back to archival pieces and imagery for inspiration,” Gilmore said.

“For Volume 3, we explored some of the classic Rip Curl designs and reworked them with fresh colours and updated fits that still feel timeless and wearable. I wanted the collection to feel relaxed, nostalgic. and easy to throw on after a surf or while travelling.”

Rip Curl women's head of design, Tara Doyle, said the range reflects Gilmore's own connection to the brand's history.

“Steph has such a strong creative vision and connection to surf heritage, which always makes collaborating with her incredibly authentic,” Doyle said.

“Volume 3 really captures her personal style. Relaxed, timeless, and inspired by the golden eras of surf culture while still feeling fresh and relevant for today.”

It is the latest in a run of design collaborations for the brand, following a partnership with Brazilian label Farm Rio and a first-ever tie-up with lifestyle brand Sunnylife targeting the kids' market.

The latest collab also comes after Rip Curl’s parent company KMD Brands continues to rightsize amid a challenging consumer market and economy. Earlier this year, the company faced calls to demerge its Rip Curl brand – which it quickly rejected. The retail group also managed to complete an NZ$208 million debt refinance.

The group's performance appears to be tracking better through FY26, with sales at Rip Curl and Kathmandu up by 4 per cent and 12 per cent, respectively, in the third quarter of FY26. KMD also manages Oboz, a much smaller subsidiary that is heavily in the wholesale space, with sales there down 8.9 per cent.

For Gilmore, this comes as she returns to the World Surf League Tour after her hiatus in 2023, and fresh off her recent win at the WSL Gold Coast Pro. She first signed with Rip Curl in 2000 at just 12 years old, before going on to dominate the sport across the next two decades with an unprecedented eight world titles.

The Rip Curl x Stephanie Gilmore Volume 3 Collection has just rolled out in Rip Curl stores globally and can be found on the Rip Curl website.
