Australian sporting retailer Rebel has launched a revised version of its loyalty program, with shifts to its reward structures and incentives.

According to Rebel, the revised loyalty program is the “most generous” in the Australian market.

A new points collection and redemption structure has been implemented, where 100 points equals $5, which can be used on future purchases. Members are able to redeem any amount of points they accrue, with no threshold included.

The new program will see members continue to receive discounted member pricing, experiences, member-only prize draws and offers.

Members can also opt-in to receive booster point offers and limited early access to products and experiences, as well as receive promotional material about its latest product launches.

“We’ve completely redesigned our loyalty program to ensure our members are supported and rewarded as they pursue their sporting dreams and passions,” Rebel managing director Gary Williams said.

“These updates to our loyalty program are just the beginning, and we’re excited to roll-out a range of exciting new features over the coming months."

To mark the launch of the new loyalty program, Rebel will host a promotion where one member can win $10,000 worth of Rebel Active points.

Existing members of Rebel’s original loyalty program will be transitioned into the Rebel Active program at launch.

This week, Super Retail Group confirmed a slowdown in like-for-like sales across its footwear and apparel division.

Rebel shifted from 20% like-for-like sales growth in the first sixteen weeks of FY23 to 0% this year.
