Australian sporting retailer Rebel has opened the doors to its newest store in Westfield Burwood this week – the brand’s first at this location.

The store spans 1,501 square metres, and brings many of the features from its rCX store format launched during COVID. This includes a dedicated football experience zone, where customers can play on a half-size basketball court.

To mark the opening yesterday, West Tigers’ Alex Twal made a special appearance to meet with customers and fans.

Key brands showcasing at the Burwood store include Rebel’s owned women’s brand Ell/Voo, alongside other brands such as Muscle Nation and Lorna Jane.

In the men’s department, Rebel will stock the likes of Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and New Balance.

The sporting retailer will also launch a raft of offers during the opening weekend. From October 9 to 12, the first 100 Rebel Active members each day will receive a lucky door voucher valued between $10 and $500 to spend in the store that day.

In addition, Rebel Active members will earn triple points on all purchases made between October 9 and October 19, equal to 15 per cent off their next shop (T&Cs apply).

“We’re excited to unveil our new Burwood store, a location-first for Rebel,” general manager of retail Meg Zalewski said.

“This store has been designed to inspire the local community with the latest sporting trends, leading global brands, and interactive experiences like our dedicated football zone. We can’t wait to welcome customers through the doors to enjoy our opening celebrations.”

Rebel manages over 160 stores across Australia.
