Westfield Knox is preparing to launch the next phase of its $355 million redevelopment in early June, with Australian fashion brands such as Rebel, Macpac and Decjuba joining the assortment.

Rebel will open its largest rCX format store in Victoria, which focuses on interactive customer experiences.

The store will feature zones dedicated to virtual gaming as well as an ‘Innovation Room’ reserved for showcasing new products from global sporting and tech brands.

Outdoor retailer Macpac will launch a new store at the centre, alongside other active brands including US streetwear retailer Stateside Sports and global footwear brand ASICS.

New Zealand’s Kathmandu will relocate to the new development from another part of the centre, with Australian womenswear brands Forever New, Decjuba, Factorie and Ally returning.

Menswear retailer YD and Australian streetwear retailer Neverland will reveal new-look stores.

Australian fashion brands Gorman, All About Eve and Dangerfield will also join the assortment with new stores.

Overall, 20 brand-new and returning retailers will make up the revamp. It will also include community initiatives including a full-sized NBL basketball court and an outdoor kids space.

The basketball court is in collaboration with local sporting organisation, Knox Basketball, and will see junior teams use it for training, competition games and clinics during the school holidays.

“Our $355 million investment in Westfield Knox is progressing well as we prepare to open the next stage of the development in just a few weeks’ time,” Westfield Knox centre manager Kristian Nicholls said.

“This next phase of the development is a significant milestone in the broader transformation and takes us one step closer to delivering a world-class retail social and lifestyle destination for Melbourne’s East.

“We look forward to sharing more exciting fashion, dining and international mini-major retailer news over the coming months.”
