Retail Apparel Group (RAG) has launched its latest menswear brand Johnny Bigg by Tarocash into the New Zealand market via online shipping.
The company aims to pinpoint a niche in the market by introducing regular and tall fit options for men ranging from size XL-8XL in tops, 36”-52” in pants, 42”-56” in suits and size UK 9-15 in footwear.
Johnny Bigg general manager Julian Hayman believes the expansion was prompted by increasing demand in both the Australian and New Zealand market.
“The launch of Johnny Bigg's first two stores have far exceeded our expectations.
“Customers have responded positively to the fact that finally there is a brand that now caters to the big and tall guy’s desire to be stylishly dressed from head to toe, at value driven prices.
“Clearly there is a growing demand for this type of specialty environment and we are perfectly
positioned to service this demand.
“We will look to open more stores relatively soon in NSW and interstate, eventually providing countrywide access to Johnny Bigg, in addition to our successful online store.”
The brand has flagged value as a pivotal focus for growth with price points ranging from around $69.99 for knitwear to $249.99 for dress jackets.
RAG introduced Johnny Bigg to the Australian market online in September 2014 before opening retail stores in seven locations across the country.
