R.M Williams is set to introduce head designer Jeremy Hershan at the launch of its autumn/winter 2017 collection.

The event is slated to take place in Sydney on October 14.

This could be Hershan's first full collection under the brand, following his appointment in November.

Prior to the appointment, Hershan spent over three years as senior formalwear designer for Alfred Dunhill, London.

In December 2010, he commenced a one-year tenure at another iconic design house Aquascutum.

There, he was an assistant menswear designer across Aquascutum London and Limited collections.

Hershan has also worked as an assistant designer at Gieves & Hawkes, London.

The move comes as R.M Williams accelerates international expansion plans under Singapore-based private equity firm L Capital Asia.

R.M Williams recently opened its USA flagship store on 152 Spring Street, Soho, New York.

The retailer has now slated five additional sites across the market.

This is in addition to two new stores in New Zealand this year, and a new site in London.
