Cotton On, Forever New, Lorna Jane, Sunburn and Colette have formed Stage 2 in the expansion of one of Queensland's largest shopping centres.

The retailers will join the newly redeveloped Mirvac Orion Springfield Central in South East Queensland.

The redevelopment is part of a slew of recent high-profile Queensland developments.

The expansion almost doubled the footprint of the centre, which is now among the top ten largest shopping centres in the state.

The development is surrounded by a piazza water feature and new al fresco casual restaurants,

It includes a 2000 seat Event Cinema complex and the Town Walk boulevard, which connects the Springfield Central Station through the centre to the Orion Lagoon swimming playground.

Mirvac’s head of retail Susan MacDonald said the centre will provide over 165 speciality stores to match its lifestyle and leisure activity focus as a community hub.

The lifestyle and leisure focus at the expanded Orion Springfield Central now includes some 30 fashion stores with more to come.

This is double the previous fashion offering with new chains including Cotton On, Forever New, Lorna Jane, Sunburn and Colette.
