Eyewear label Quay has released a new range of sunglasses designed exclusively for the Australian market.

The 11 new styles feature bold colours and designs, aimed at bringing some fun to Aussies' wardrobes after lengthy lockdowns across the nation.

Designed by an Australian-led team at Quay’s head office in San Francisco, the range was styled and shot locally by Australian influencers Dominique Elissa, Stefney V and Alex Davidson (pictured).

Quay VP of product development and merchandising Jennie Moon said the business uses the Australian market to test new collections.

"With Australia being slightly ahead on the trend curve compared with other markets, we’ve found that launching and testing new styles in the region, helps to inform our future global collections.

"We also love being able to provide exclusive styles to our Aussie Quay squad, as the spring/summer season approaches," she said.

Quay global design director Tim Hardie said the collection took inspiration from decades past.

"We’re incredibly excited to be launching a line that is exclusive to Australia, where it all began.

"This collection leans into retro with a mix of 70s, 80s and 90s details done the Quay way—with bold shapes and fun pops of colour that are meant to evoke a sense of optimism and nostalgia when you put them on," he said.

The exclusive collection is available to purchase from the Quay Australia website now and retails from $65.
