Eyewear label Quay Australia has brought back its Education is Quay scholarship program in partnership with multi-platinum rapper and entrepreneur, Saweetie.

The campaign offers 10 students across Australia, New Zealand, and the US the chance to win a USD$10,000 scholarship.

Meanwhile, the top fifty semi-finalists will receive a free pair of Quay sunnies.

To enter, students will be asked to share what self-expression means to them.

Calling on University of Southern California graduate and rapper Saweetie to front the campaign, Quay CEO Jodi Bricker said that the business wanted to showcase the many facets of her personality.

"Not only is Saweetie a world-famous music artist with incredible momentum, but we also love that there are many layers to her—she’s passionate about giving back, she’s an advocate for education, and she captivates her audience by combining authenticity, confidence and humour.

"We’re excited to bring that spirit to life with this campaign," she said.

Speaking on her involvement with the Education is Quay initiative, Saweetie said she is proud to help students achieve their educational goals.

"Education is super important to me.

"I have been blessed with the opportunity to achieve my educational aspirations and I truly believe that higher education should be available to everyone.

"I’m excited to work alongside Quay to help provide that opportunity to others and to inspire more people to chase their dreams," she said.

The Education is Quay campaign will be complemented by a new collection of sunglasses featuring styles from the new 'luxe' range.

The campaign taps into Saweetie's 3.9 million TikTok followers through a custom verse from a newly released song, which will be used in a TikTok challenge.

"Saweetie has climbed her way to the top of the charts and the ‘for you’ page with her hustle and her heart, and a creative vision that connects with her fans," Bricker added.

The Quay X Saweetie collection highlights include hot pink frames and coral lenses, new shapes and Quay's black fade lenses.

The range also includes styles from Quay’s new Luxe line, which includes materials such as acetate frames, gold-tone details and polarised lenses.

Speaking on the partnership, Saweetie said she was thrilled to collaborate with Quay.

"Everyone knows I love my accessories and sunglasses, so I’m hella excited about my collection with Quay.

"The styles are all luxe but affordable, so all my ICY Babies can get glammed out and look GOODT with a ‘t’ this summer," she said.

The Quay x Saweetie collection is available now and retails for between $75 and $120.

The Education is Quay applications are open now until June 09.
