Australian eyerwear label Quay has launched a new collaboration collection, in partnership with singer, songwriter, actor and philanthropist Maluma (Juan Luis Londoño Arias).

The Colombian singer has been a long-time fan of the brand and has been seen in Quay glasses well before the partnership began.

Quay CEO Jodi Bricker said this was a key factor in teaming up with Maluma.

"The Quay x Maluma partnership has been in the making for a quite some time," Bricker said.

"Maluma has been spotted wearing Quays for years and that authenticity is one of the biggest things we look for in a collaborator.

"The way Maluma shows up in the world and expresses himself through his fashion inspires others to be bold and embrace their style choices with confidence too," she said.

Maluma is one of the most-followed music artists the world, boasting 58.2 million followers on Instagram and 1.6 million followers on TikTok.

Speaking on his partnership with Quay, Maluma said he wants his fans to feel confident in the frames.

"It’s important to spread love and positive energy, especially as we come out of a hard year.

"Music, art and fashion are my outlet.

"As an artist, I’m not afraid to wear different things and to be bold with my style.

"I want my fans to be confident and be free to express themselves with these designs too.

"I’ve always loved accessories and sunglasses are my favourite.

"This collection was designed for everyone. It’s bold, colourful and fresh," he said.

The Quay x Maluma collaboration collection includes both sunglasses and blue light frames for women and men.

It is available now and retails from $65.
