An Australian designer is preparing to disrupt traditional retail with a curated pop-up shop featuring local designers.
Australian clothing designer Katie Perry has assembled a series of brands for a three-month pop-up shop.
William St Collective will run from October 1 to December 30 in Paddington.
The store will feature a concentrated display of goods not found in typical boutiques or department stores.
Perry said this fresh take on retail showcases creative Australian-made designs in a one-stop shopping location leading up to the holiday season.
"William St. Collective brings together a group of designers to maximise the space, create a hub of creativity, and also to ensure that when a customer visits they know that every single item they see is made right here in Australia," she said.
Each of six carefully selected vendors will have a rented space in which to show off their talents, and staff for the duration of the three-month event.
The brands include Burbia, Dharma Buns, Eclectika Home, Katie Perry, Talle and Young the Label.
They will receive full profit from their respective sales.
The pop-up shop will be held at 34 William St. and will be open 1 October through 31 December.
