The capsule collection designed by Pip Edwards and the Bond-Eye Swim team has fronted high demand, with five pieces already selling out since its launch over the weekend.

Due to overwhelming demand, Bond-Eye is working on recutting bestsellers with delivery dates soon to be announced. Shoppers can secure pre-orders ahead of the next drop.

Among the most in-demand pieces is the Willow Pant in Geo Mesh, which Edwards wore herself at both the Bond-Eye store launch and the Icebergs collection celebration. The other four sell-outs include the Hazel Shirt in Black, The Willow Pant in Black Mesh, The Genesis Tank in Geo Mesh and The Mara x Pip One Piece in Black and White Stripe.

Bond-Eye CEO Steve Philpott told Ragtrader the collaboration has been a long time in the making, as Edwards has been wearing Bond-Eye for years and posting the ranges across her own social media accounts.

“I mentioned to my team a few times over the years that we should reach out to Pip and see if she wants to do something. Last year, Pip reached out at the same time as we were contemplating about reaching out to her. So it was kind of meant to be.”

Philpott confirmed he and the team have wholesaled the range to Bond-Eye’s Australian and New Zealand accounts, and activated it in its Bondi store with an event.

Stock was also dropped into Bond-Eye’s Bleecker Street pop-up store in New York.

“We're also fielding some interest from a couple of northern hemisphere accounts now, so we have cut some extra stock. I'd say we may drop some product strategically into a few other key northern hemisphere retailers.”

This the first-ever range designed by Pip Edwards in which her name features on every product label. It also comes as Edwards leads the creative direction at Ksubi, following her exit from P.E Nation last year.
