A retail extravaganza will take place in Perth this weekend in a bid to boost trade and raise money for charity.
The Big Sunday Summer Sale, featuring entertainment and in store discounts, will kick off at the Karrinyup Shopping Centre and the Garden City Shopping Centre in Booragoon.
Fashion shows, product sales and competitions will run throughout the centres and retailers are hoping to attract big crowds.
Marketing manager for Karrinyup Shopping Centre, Andrew Wilkinson, said it is just as important for retailers to get behind the community, as it is for consumers to support trade.
“Given the uncertain economic and difficult retailing times, Karrinyup has had a positive year so far, Wilkinson said.
“We are excited to offer our shoppers a day full of family friendly activity with some great retail sales in the lead up to Christmas - while also raising funds for local surf life saving clubs.”
Three surf lifesavers from the Perth area will be given a $50 Karrinyup gift card to purchase a signature prop for their runway outfit.
They are then required to strike their best Zoolander inspired 'blue-steel-style' pose at the end of the catwalk.
The winner will receive $2,000 for their club, donated by Karrinyup Shopping Centre.
To help celebrate the bi-annul Sunday trading event, shops in the Garden City Shopping Centre will also be offering in store specials and a competition to win a trip to London, Paris or New York.
Money raised will go towards the Heart Foundation's Go Red for Women appeal.
