Organisers of the inaugural Perth Fashion Week (PFW) are still in discussions to secure the long-term success of the event.
Last month organisers confirmed Savoir Faire Cosmetics as naming rights sponsor for the first instalment, which will run from April 19 to 23.
PFW director Sylvia Giacci revealed that Savoir Faire, a local beauty brand, has signed on for a one-year partnership.
"Savoir Faire's naming rights sponsorship of PFW is locked in for this year and talks are taking place to secure a long-term relationship," she said.
"Coincidentally and very excitingly, 2012 will see an international rollout of both brands in the global fashion arena."
The event was initially scheduled to take place in March, however PFW announced a change in dates late last year due to a new "strategic" opportunity.
PFW will showcase spring/summer 2012/13 collections from local designers, aiming to capture the "peak buying season" for trade orders.
It will be preceded by trade fair Fashion Exposed in February (12 - 14) and followed by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, which will run in Sydney from April 30 to May 4.
PFW will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
