Global jeweller Pandora has partnered with Australian-born, Brooklyn-based artist Cj Hendry, who is set to bring her global Flower Market concept to Australia for the very first time.
Pandora’s partnership will be showcased to over 35,000 expected visitors to the event over three days. The event will take over areas of the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens.
The installation transforms the classic flower market into an artistic space. Building on the success of previous iterations in New York and Hong Kong, the experience invites guests to move through the space, selecting individual stems to build a bouquet that is entirely their own. According to Pandora, the act of choosing here is a philosophy shared between the artist and the global jeweller.
As part of its inclusion, Pandora will introduce a co-branded floral experience inspired by its own Garden of Dreams collection.
“Art doesn’t need to be overly contextual; people are stressed and tired,” Cj Hendry said. “I want people to arrive as they are, enjoy the absurd amount of flowers and colour on scale, without this huge exclusionary barrier to entry.
“People can take a flower home for free or stay and play to put together their own bunch of flowers that aren’t going to die in 5-7 days.”
Pandora marketing director Jess Donovan said this Flower Market concept complements the brand’s Garden of Dreams collection.
“At Pandora, jewellery is a powerful form of self-expression,” Donovan said. “This collaboration brings that spirit to life through a vibrant, immersive experience that celebrates creativity, individuality and joy."
The Flower Market will run from May 15 to May 17 next weekend.
