Australian brands P.E. Nation and Speedo have released their collaboration collection to consumers, following its debut at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
The collection spans eight swimsuits that are both fashionable and functional, providing female swimmers with the athletic styling Speedo is known for combined with the P.E. Nation aesthetic and colours.
To celebrate the collection's launch into retail, nine Australian influencers including the P.E. Nation co-founders Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning trialled the collection while stand-up paddle boarding in Sydney Harbour.
Edwards said that the collection is made for both the fashion and sports consumer.
"Following the success of our first collaboration reveal with Speedo at Fashion Week, we are excited to release this collection for women to now own.
"And, what better way to release such an iconic Australian collaboration than putting the swimwear to the test in our iconic Harbour.
"This is a unique opportunity to cater for both a traditional fashion and sports audience, who are fit, strong, bold, individual, fun and independent," she said.
Speedo Australia head of design and product Tahnee McIlwraith said that the collection represents an exciting moment for the company.
"Our mission is to inspire people to swim and live healthy lifestyles.
"We have swimwear for every occasion from breaking your PB in the pool to chilling out with your mates at the beach.
"What is so exciting about today, is making our first collaboration with another iconic Australian brand P.E. Nation available for people to own and enjoy.
"By combining the technology of Speedo suits and the fashionable designs of P.E. Nation, we’ve successfully created a range that gives women the best of both worlds," she said.
The P.E. Nation x Speedo range includes long sleeves, supportive bikinis, high neck and the traditional shoe string strapped one-piece.
The range is now available to purchase online and in-store at David Jones, P.E. Nation stores, selected Speedo flagship stores, The Iconic and other retailers.
It ranges in price from $110 to $160.
