P.E Nation and Rebel have partnered on a womenswear capsule to align with the global women's football season.
The collaboration features P.E Nation’s new ‘Airform’ fabrication, which incorporates 85% recycled polyester and is pitched as breathable, lightweight and fast-drying. The capsule comprises two Airform jerseys - short and long sleeve - as well as 92% recycled soccer shorts and a pair of 76% recycled compressive active leggings.
Rebel is asponsor of the Matildas team, which will be competing in the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Speaking at Ragtrader Live Sydney in May, Rebel marketing manager Brock Coleman said the season will be a key focus for the brand with a multi-faceted marketing and merchandise rollout.
"I truly think the event will be one of the biggest sports events Australia hosts," Coleman said. "We will certainly be the biggest from a women in sport perspective. So it's a huge one for us."
The P.E Nation collaboration features a digital green-and-gold gradient print and will be sold exclusively at P.E Nation and Rebel.
P.E Nation co-founders Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning said the campaign was modelled on, styled and photographed by members of the brand.
"When designing the football-inspired capsule, the team wanted to create the ultimate fusion of high-performance function, purpose, and P.E Nation energy.
"This collection is inspired by women in sport - she is strong, she is confident, she has freedom of movement, her style is on point on and off the pitch."
