Oroton has become Australia’s first fashion brand to partner with eBay Australia in a bid to re-sell pre-owned Oroton items.

The deal will allow customers to list Oroton items on eBay in exchange for a $50 Oroton voucher, which can be redeemed on the Oroton website with a minimum spend of $250.

This follows Oroton’s partnership with rental platform Rntr, launched in 2023.

Oroton CEO Jenny Child said the partnership with eBay was a strategic decision.

"We are delighted to pioneer this initiative with eBay, marking another next step in Oroton's continued commitment to positive change and innovation,” Child said. “Together, we aim to redefine and elevate the fashion resale experience.

"We believe in the enduring quality and timeless appeal of Oroton designs. With this initiative, we invite our customers to embark on a journey of rediscovery, celebrating the past while embracing the possibilities of the future."

eBay Australia’s fashion lead Anne-Marie Cheney said Oroton is searched every three minutes on the eBay website.

“Our collaboration reflects the demand for the heritage brand that Australians have loved for generations,” Cheney said.

"With Oroton's legacy of craftsmanship and style and eBay's expansive platform, we hope that this initiative enables Australians to give their much-loved pieces a second life and make some extra money through resale. Together, we aspire to encourage participation in the circular fashion economy.”
