Australian family-owned brand Okanui has shifted its warehouse to a larger space amid ongoing growth for the brand over the last year.

Okanui CEO Simon Kasprowicz confirmed with Ragtrader that the new warehouse is 2.5 times larger than the previous one, and added this is a necessary move to keep up with growing customer demand and the momentum behind the Okanui brand.

“Our journey over the past year has been all about building stronger connections — both in person and online,” Kasprowicz said. “We’ve gone from five to ten stores in just over 12 months, doubling our footprint and bringing the Okanui experience to more communities across the country.

“Last summer marked our strongest sales season to date, with consistent product sell-outs and record-breaking demand.”

Okanui’s history is deeply rooted in Australian surf culture, with core ranges across surfwear and casualwear for men, women and children. The brand is known for its signature hibiscus print.

Alongside a store portfolio expansion, Okanui has also pushed deeper into its marketing, through social content, community involvement and email campaigns.

“For us, it’s never just about selling something — it’s about inviting people into the Okanui lifestyle, and giving them plenty of reasons to keep coming back,” Kasprowicz said.

Okanui’s stores are predominantly located across Australia’s east coast, from Port Douglas to Sydney, and manages a store in Darwin. The brand also sells through a small range of stockists.
