Ksubi co-founder Dan Single has launched his new collection to market, backed by retail giant General Pants Co.

As previously reported on ragtrader.com.au, Single signed an exclusive deal with General Pants earlier this year to design a solo menswear line, DAAN.

The pre-collection for the DAAN range is scheduled to arrive across General Pants stores nationally this week, with Single's fiancee and Australian supermodel Bambi Northwood-Blyth fronting the label's campaign.

Single has described the line as entertaining and androgynous, and said the people he has met throughout his career have formed part of this design ideation; the good, the bad and the ugly.

“DAAN is about taking current trends and ideas and turning them upside down, chewing them up, spitting them back into a bottle of French champagne, shaking that bottle, and spraying it all over the world,” he said.

“Fashion is about being a great story teller. The greatest designers don't look at fashion for inspiration, they look at the world. That's what I love about being a designer. I create fashion but I don't have to be a slave to it. I’m grateful for the years I’ve been able to live out my dream, especially my latest project with General Pants.”

DAAN’s pre-collection will be available in stores from this week, with product priced from $59.95 to $129.95. Single’s full collection is expected to hit General Pant’s drop into stores in July this year.

Ksubi was placed into liquidation in 2010, before finding new life under streetwear manufacturer Bleach.

Both Single and co-founder George Gorrow left the brand last year to focus on alternative ventures.
