A fresh initiative is on its way to Sydney to reinvigorate the fashion sector.
The event, ‘Creatives Uncovered’, is set to land in Sydney offering a new series of networking and mingling events. The latest instalment, to be held on November 27, is in collaboration with college Fashionmasters and trend forecasting firm Stylesight.
The initiative is targeted at fashion inspired, creative professionals and hobbyists and will give attendees the opportunity to talk fashion, design and business with the expert team from Fashionmasters.
Fashionmasters is one of the only colleges which offers a Bachelor in Fashion & Business, which places emphasis on the business and commerce at the heart of the fashion industry.
The degree covers all aspects with studies that aim develop creative, technical, organisational and business knowledge and skills. The course also examines future fashion production and promotion methods where students are assisted to develop the skills to manage costs, timelines and ethical issues.
Event organiser Chic Petite Events said the aim of Creatives Uncovered is to bring creative people of all kinds together to meet to work on future projects in a fun environment and gain advice from educators to mentors.
“Creatives Uncovered is designed to remove the anxiety associated with networking and make the process of finding suitable collaborators easier.
“[The event] promises to be the perfect opportunity for creative practitioners of all kinds to gain business & educational advice, an insight into the industry and a sharing of information that benefits creatives at all stages of their career.”
To date, Creatives Uncovered has attracted interest and participation from the likes of Young Republic, Company B, The Loop, Artist Isle, and Little Blue Shed.
Creatives Uncovered will be held at 160 Castleraegh Street, Sydney on November 27, 2013 from 5pm to 9pm.
