Enterprising mothers who are keen to join the world of retailing can now sign up to a new children's clothing scheme.

The Mothers Network is an initiative set up by Fred & Frank Kids, an Australian children's clothing label which was created by Deryll Naidoo and Mark Lowth.

The duo saw an opportunity to help mums who want to run their own business without the hassle, so created a model for distribution that empowers stay at home mums to create their own successful designer children’s clothing business from home.

The clothing, which includes jumpsuits, hats and puffer jackets, is designed in Melbourne and manufactured in China.

“We believe that mums should not be forced to give up their careers and professional skills just because they become parents,” Naidoo said.

“The network champions a broad range of savvy mums and enables them to become 'mumpreneurs' by giving them a no fuss platform for business success, while working with the time constraints of being a mum.”

The project allows mums to place orders online for clothes they have sold and orders get shipped directly to the address of the consumer.

There is a pay as you go system which means mums, who receive commission on all sales, are not left out of pocket.

Price points range from $10-$90 and clothing is suitable for newborn babies up to children aged eight.
