Target Australia has launched a new advertising campaign on the back of a rebrand.
As first reported in Ragtrader's July edition, the retailer has replaced its '100% Happy' tagline with 'Get More, Pay Less'.
Target Australia managing director Stuart Machin said the rebrand represented customer demand for "more style, more quality, more excitement" at lower prices.
The rebrand has been backed by the appointment of a new ambdassador, international stylist Gok Wan, who will front a series of television commercials from July 10.
Wan will help customers select key fashion pieces, with the first advertisement focussing on women's workwear.
The garments will be labelled as 'Gok Loves' selections in Target stores across the country.
The 12-month campaign will span menswear, childrenswear, footwear, accessories, homewares and womenswear.
The move comes on the back of a restructure which saw the company slash 260 staff.
Machin said the latest initiatives are aimed at reinvigorating the brand.
"Our new tagline – and our new ambassador – are both steps on our journey to reinvigorate Target and once again make it a great place to shop."
