A “hugely popular” foreign fashion retailer with Australia in its sights has secured a local partner to spearhead its imminent launch.

South African online fashion retailer MRP.com has confirmed it will launch its Australia and New Zealand affiliate program exclusively with affiliate network and online acquisition agency, dgm.

The brand, established in 1987, has been described as “hugely popular” and is currently the fastest growing retailer in South Africa.

Made famous for providing “fashionable looks at every day value prices”, the MRP group is a well-known value retailer which sells clothing, homewares and sportswear at low cost.

MRP.com revealed the company is now looking to expand and reach out to a worldwide audience, focusing on growth with its online offering and has selected dgm to launch the brand in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

The appointment continues dgm’s success in expanding its retail portfolio of fashion clients.

Commenting on its plans to penetrate the Australian and New Zealand markets, MRP.com head of acquisition Dylan Cherry said the alliance with dgm is a valuable asset.

“We’re incredibly excited about our international expansion and are confident that the dgm team can deliver the reach and growth we’re estimating for the Australian/New Zealand markets. It will be an exciting expansion for MRP.com and we’re pleased to have partnered with dgm for in-market support,” he said.

Dgm performance strategy director Chris Garner added that the company is confident it will achieve satisfying results for MRP.com on local shores.

“We are delighted to welcome MRP to the Australian and New Zealand market. Dgm are responsible for some outstanding growth in fashion sales for the ANZ affiliate market at over 500 per cent year on year,” he said.

“More and more international brands are entering the burgeoning online space here with great success. Judging by the hot fashion available on MRP coupled with the wonderful user experience and price, we know MRP will make a huge impression with Australian online customers and establish themselves within the top five apparel retailers in no time at all.”

Large retailers such as Big W, specialist online merchants including Kogan and The Iconic, and global giants Microsoft, Sony and Marks & Spencer are among more than 20 new clients recently added to the dgm affiliate network.
