Global athletics brand New Balance is set to open its first full-price retail store in South Australia, which will also be the largest by the brand in Australia.
The new store will open on November 28 at the Rundle Mall precinct in Adelaide CBD. The new 600 square metre store will offer a curated mix of New Balance’s top performance and lifestyle collections – including Australian bestsellers, the Fresh Foam 1080v14 shoe and the carbon-plated SC Elite v5, alongside a range of lifestyle products and athleisure.
To mark the launch, New Balance is teaming up with Adelaide run community, Run as One, to host an open session on Friday morning. Open to runners of all levels, it will be a tempo-style 3km or 5km run, starting and finishing at the new store.
Runners will also have the opportunity to trial the new FuelCell Rebel v5 with free coffee and pastries available post run.
The new store adds to a New Balance outlet shop located at Harbour Town Premium Outlets near Adelaide Airport.
“With the launch of our Melbourne Central flagship last year, alongside Pacific Fair and Bondi Junction before that, New Balance has continued to accelerate its bricks-and-mortar presence across Australia,” New Balance’s Asia Pacific DTC director, Jonathan Clark, said.
“Entering South Australia for the first time underscores our confidence in the market and our commitment to making world-class retail experiences accessible to every major region.
“The Rundle Mall opening is a milestone that strengthens our national footprint and brings the full New Balance experience to Adelaide and we cannot wait to welcome you in store.”
Doors will officially open to the wider public at 9:00am, with the first 100 customers receiving a free graphic tote with purchase.
The Adelaide store brings New Balance’s Australian full-price store count to 10. According to its website, New Balance also manages over 13 retail outlets across the country.
