Luxury shopping giant Net-A-Porter has revealed its buyers will soon hit local shores on the hunt for fresh talent.

The fashion etail powerhouse, which currently stocks over 350 of the world’s most coveted designers, has confirmed its buyers will attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia next month.

Buyers Linda Ayepe and Octavia Bradford will be in Sydney to attend the runway shows, scout new fashion talent and meet with Net-A-Porter's existing Australian designer portfolio. This currently includes Zimmermann, Dion Lee, Lover, Sass & Bide, Willow, Camilla & Marc, Collette by Collette Dinnigan, Ksubi, We Are Handsome and Banjo & Matilda.

The company has stocked Australian brands since 2002 and attended Australian Fashion Week since 2009.

The online retailer has also actively engaged its existing Australian designer portfolio through limited-edition capsule collections and one-off pieces by the likes of Sass & Bide, Dion Lee and Lover and has an exclusive collection of swimwear by Zimmermann set to launch.

Commenting on the etailer's upcoming visit, Net-A-Porter fashion director Holli Rogers said Australian designer labels continue to be strong component of its existing and future offering.

“We have long supported Australian fashion design talent and increasingly these brands are forming an important part of our offering as their aesthetic resonates with our global customer,” she said.

“Our buyers are excited to be attending Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia and will be looking out for new labels that are doing something different, as well as further cementing relationships with our existing designers.”

IMG Fashion Event & Properties director of global production Jarrad Clark added that Net-A-Porter's presence again this year will further strengthen the event.

“We are excited to once again welcome the buyers from Net-A-Porter.com to Sydney for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. Not only does their return solidify the potential and talent we both see in Australian brands but their international reach has the opportunity to connect these labels to Net-A-Porter's customers in over 200 countries worldwide.”

Net-A-Porter was launched in June 2000 and has since successfully established itself as a premier luxury online fashion retailer. Presented in the style of a fashion magazine, Net-A-Porter currently features collections from a suite of international designers including Chloé, Marc Jacobs, Burberry Prorsum, Miu Miu, and Stella McCartney.
