Paddington-based tailor P Johnson will launch on Mr Porter today, with a collection designed by founder Patrick Johnson.
Johnson worked closely with Mr Porter’s luxury buying manager, Sam Kershaw, as well as buying director Fiona Firth, on the range.
The trio have created a ready-to-wear collection spanning eveningwear, tailored clothing, sportswear and resortwear.
The majority of the tailored clothing component of the collection is hand cut and constructed in P Johnson’s own Italian workshop, Sartoria Carrara.
Typically a 100% made-to-measure specialist workshop, P Johnson has invested in a dedicated production line for this ready-to-wear collection.
The brand will utilise the same techniques and handwork seen in its fully made-to-measure pieces.
This new development sees P Johnson become the only Australian menswear brand on the Mr Porter site.
It is also the first time P Johnson suiting has been available both as ready-to-wear and online globally.
