Australian fashion brand Nakedvice has opened the doors to its second retail store, located on High Street in Armadale.
The latest opening adds to the brand’s other Melbourne store at Abbotsford.
Nakedvice was founded by best friends and business partners, Sarah Miller and Jessie Gargan, initially focusing on quality leather bags.
“We felt there was a clear gap in the market for pieces that were functional, well crafted, and still attainable,” the duo said. Since launching, the brand has expanded into apparel and accessories.
The new Armadale boutique was designed in collaboration with interior studio Design by Golden. The store itself is designed to be minimal, intentional and a physical extension of the Nakedvice brand.
“We wanted the space to feel like a gallery; purposeful and pared-back, so the product could speak for itself,” Design by Golden co-founders Kylie Buhagiar and Alicia McKimm said.
Spanning two levels, the store’s interior is defined by a monochromatic palette of black, white and soft grey. Sculptural plinths with stainless steel bases, tiered bag and shoe displays, mirrored surfaces and a circular point-of-sale anchor the ground floor, while private change rooms are tucked behind a stairwell.
The upstairs floor opens into a flexible studio space for VIP appointments, styling consultations and events, styled with soft furnishings, thrifted sculptural furniture and floor-to-ceiling curtains.
Miller and Gargan said the decision to open in Armadale, just over 5 kilometres south of its Abbotsford boutique, was a strategic one.
“It’s always been our go-to shopping destination in Melbourne,” Miller said. “Being surrounded by some of the best local and international brands felt like the right step forward for Nakedvice, positioning us alongside like-minded premium retailers.”
The store is located along High Street, home to a few luxury brands, including Lee Mathews, Aje, The Ark, Manning Cartel and Moss & Spy.
The new store will stock Nakedvice’s full ready-to-wear and accessories offering. The brand’s collections are designed in-house.
