One of the largest online fashion retailers in Australia claims it is "annihilating" the likes of Myer, David Jones and Target after raking in a record-breaking sales haul.
Online shopping portal Ozsale.com.au has reported a record 48 hour 'Flash Frenzy' sales result, generating $5 million in revenue over the period.
The etailer reported that 50 per cent of transactions were made via mobile, with two items sold every second.
In announcing the figures, Ozsale.com.au revealed it recorded four times the traffic of both David Jones and Myer as well as "annihilating well-known retailers" such as Target, Big W, Kmart and Westfield.
Chairman Jamie Jackson said consumers are shifing from traditional retailers to online shopping sites.
"In five years, at least one quarter of high street stores will be closed down or consolidated into online shopping stores," he said.
The website claimed 80,000 new members signed up in the lead up to Flash Frenzy, with a 110 per cent increase in new visitors.
There was an 86 per cent increase in page views and 62 per cent increase in unique browsers.
