Myer has recruited Australian swimmer, musician, poet and environmental activist Cody Simpson for its new campaign, 'Bring Your Thing.'
Starring alongside Myer ambassador Elyse Knowles, Simpson fronts the campaign which encourages confidence and self-expression.
Myer chief customer officer Geoff Ikin said the business was excited to have Simpson fronting the spring campaign.
"Cody epitomises the values of what our new ‘Bring Your Thing’ campaign is all about – individualism and confidence in who you are.
"We are thrilled to be working with such an inspiring talent, who is not only an accomplished artist, but who has also pushed the boundaries on his achievements as an athlete," he said.
After 10 years out of the water to pursue his music career, Simpson returned to the pool in 2020 with sights set on the Paris 2024 Olympic games.
Throughout his various pursuits, Simpson has built up a combined social following of 16,827,000 across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok.
Speaking on his involvement with Myer for the Bring Your Thing campaign, Simpson said he was thrilled to be a part of it.
"When the opportunity of working with Myer came up, I jumped at it.
"Myer is a brand I’ve grown up with here on the Gold Coast and I’m a regular face in at my local Pacific Fair store.
"I love what they are doing for this campaign, the positive messaging around being active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as it’s something I embody in my own life and encourage those around me to do the same.
"I was stoked I could be part of it.
"The whole team at Myer have been easy and enjoyable to work with and I hope we can continue on in the future together," he said.
The Bring Your Thing campaign features spring looks across everyday pieces, activewear and casual separates.
