Department store Myer has expanded its online marketplace offering, which is set to add thousands of new products and brands to its website.

The Australian retailer has partnered with Mirakl to roll out the initiative – the same company that Country Road Group tapped into for its own marketplace offering recently.

This comes as Myer Group’s online sales grew by 15 per cent in FY25 compared to the prior year, hitting $818.9 million according to its FY25 annual report. This includes Sass & Bide, Marcs and David Lawrence, as well as the five apparel brands now owned by the department store – Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Jacqui E, Dotti and Portmans.

Excluding the five apparel brands but including the other three, online sales were up 6.4 per cent, aided by 41.4 per cent increase in marketplace sales.

Myer also reported that its loyalty program Myer One hit a record high tag rate of 79.5 per cent.

“Online sales now make up almost a quarter of all group sales, and we have a number of strategic initiatives underway to continue accelerated growth in e-commerce – including rapid expansion of our marketplace offering,” Myer executive chair Olivia Wirth said.

“We know our range on Myer Marketplace is resonating, with sales up 41 per cent in FY25. By continuing to expand the number of curated brands available to our customers, we’re ensuring Myer continues to be a leading destination for Australians shopping online.”

Wirth added that Mirakl will help Myer launch new brands in the future.

Myer’s marketplace was first launched in 2017, and the transition to Mirakl is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026. Almost 50 per cent of marketplace baskets also contained Myer-stocked products, and almost 80 per cent of Marketplace shoppers also bought other Myer items in the past 12 months.

This move by Myer comes as Shein continues its creep-up on Myer’s lead spot as the most-visited fashion-centric retailer in Australia. Total visits to Shein’s website in October 2025 were 9.38 million, according to Semrush. This is 2 million below Myer’s total website traffic in October, at 11.51 million.

The Myer Group operates a network of over 750 department and specialty stores across Australia and New Zealand, run by over 17,000 staff. This includes 50 Myer department stores across Australia, and its online store and shopping app.
