Myer board exit

A member of the Myer board has resigned due to the pressure of other work commitments.

Independent non-executive director Peter Hay has been a member of the board since February, 2010.

Hay was also a member of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee.

Myer Chairman Paul McClintock thanked Hay for his contribution to the company.

"Peter's strong background in company law and investment banking has been of great value to Myer."

He said the board would not immediately look to appoint a replacement.
