Australian jeweller Musson has returned to Sydney’s North Shore with the opening of its reimagined Chatswood Chase flagship store.

Musson had been an original tenant at the centre since 1983. Over the last few years, Chatswood Chase underwent significant renovations, aiming to scale its luxury spaces.

Musson’s new 300 square metre store covers two levels, with the ground level featuring a gallery space showcasing its core ranges, with the upper-level being a more private, “apartment style” space.

The store is surrounded by other retailers such as Apple, Tag Heuer, Sephora and Coach.

“We are proud to be returning home to the North Shore, where the Musson story first began,” co-CEO Olivar Musson said. “This flagship represents not only our heritage, but our future with a space that reflects a sophisticated new chapter for the brand.”

The store was designed in collaboration with Emilie Delalande of Studio Etic, which includes distinct lighting, layered textures and hand-finished metals. Musson’s new store also includes a bespoke staircase that leads to the upper floor, finished in specialty bronze reflective paint and marmorino plaster.

The past 12 months have marked a period of growth and evolution for the brand. This includes the opening of its Grand Boutique & Workshop at the Queen Victoria Building.

The Australian family-owned jeweller was founded in 1972 by Robert and Kerry Musson. The brand sells a range of jewellery at high-end prices, with engagement rings ranging between five and six figure sums. Over the decades, Musson has designed a series of jewellery pieces, most notably the ‘Argyle Octavia’, the largest gem-quality white diamond ever unearthed from the Argyle Diamond Mine.

Today, the brand is run by Olivar and Catherine Musson, the second generation in the Musson family.
