Australian outdoor apparel retailer Mountain Designs has released its 'Stormchaser' rain jacket following 18 months of development.
Using Gore-Tex technology, the jacket will aim to combine lightweight and breathable fabrics while being 100% wind resistant and waterproof.
The technology features a three-layer fabric that provides a strong structural element on the exterior of the jacket and a smooth knit fabric on the inside for warmth and comfort.
Mountain Designs CEO Caroline Machado said that after 18 months of research and development its customers will be thrilled with the finished product.
“We’ve designed this jacket particularly for people who need exceptional water and wind protection whilst undertaking outdoor activity and exercise.
“The first thing users will note is how incredibly lightweight the Stormchaser jacket is.
“When you are in active, aerobic outdoor situations, you naturally sweat.
This jacket is completely waterproof and windproof but its special construction helps keep you dry and comfortable on the inside.”
