Local apparel brand Mossee and IM Boutique have teamed with MasterChef patissier Adriano Zumbo to launch the label's summer 2011 collection at The Star complex in Sydney.
The event, on October 12, will also mark the official opening of Zumbo’s new patisserie at The Star, along with his new summer menu and the debut of his cook book.
In a move to fuse fashion and food together, models will walk down the runway carrying Adriano Zumbo summer collection cakes wearing the Mossée 2011 summer range and giving guests the first look at both fresh collections.
The invitation-only event will include celebrity guests and VIP's, with all guests treated to Zumbo's new "dessert train", a new feature added to his latest outlet.
Zumbo said the partnership was a perfect match which would promote both brands creatively.
“It’s great to be working with an Australian label, the opportunity to work with Mossée came through Phoebe Garland of Garland & Garland Fashion who was able to recommend a brand that is known for bold colour which I could use for inspiration for my menu,” he said.
“From chocolate raspberry handbags to bold cake jewels, guests will be enthralled in a whimsical world display of sweet treats and fashion, then will taste the magic for themselves later in the evening.”
