Luxury brand Moncler has opened its first flagship store for New South Wales in the newly expanded luxury space at Westfield Sydney.
The store spans over 313 square metres of selling space, making it the largest Moncler boutique in Sydney, with an in-store offering across the brand’s three core areas: the Moncler Collection, Moncler Grenoble and Moncler Genius. These range across men’s, women’s and kid’s clothing and footwear.
The store was designed by Paris-based firm Gilles & Boissier, with the concept considered to be a refined interplay of geometry and materiality according to Moncler. This includes a series of arches alternating between round and square forms, crafted in materials such as natural oak, Alpinus marble and black marble.
The boutique also includes a marble floor adorned with a checkerboard motif that unfolds into an arrow pattern, pointing to a sculpture by French artist Thierry Martenon at the heart of the store.
Other store elements include LED-lit ceilings and mirrored surfaces, with the store divided into areas for men’s, women’s and kids’ collections. Men’s features dark-stained cedar wood panelling, and a marble floor in a Versailles parquet pattern.
The women’s area is brighter, featuring white moldings and natural oak wall panelling.
In the kids’ area, display units resemble small huts in natural oak, matched with bright colour palettes and rounded furnishings.
The new store adds to six Australian stores altogether for Moncler, covering four in Sydney and two in Melbourne.
