Australian handmade clothing line Mister Zimi will be temporarily popping up in Sydney and Melbourne ahead of the Christmas period.

The womenswear collection, which includes items such as blouses, kimonos, swimwear and maxi-dresses, features vibrant colours, hand dyed fabrics, soft leathers and silks.

Products are usually only available online and at various stockists in Victoria and Bali – where the apparel is made.

But ahead of the busy Christmas shopping period, Australian -  but now Bali-based owner Zoe Paul, has decided to launch two pop-up stores.

From today until Sunday a Mister Zimi store will be open in Curlewis Street, Bondi.

The second store will open up in Melbourne's busy Chapel Street from Tuesday until December 18.

“Pop-up shops are beneficial for independent designers because they allow potential buyers of the label to try and feel the products that are on offer, especially as some labels are online businesses only and do not have a retail presence,” Paul said. “Pop- up stores also provide an opportunity for designers to meet their customer and gather direct feedback about their product - it also allows the label to ‘test’ out locations prior to committing to a long term lease."

The brand is the latest fashion retailer to jump on the pop-up store bandwagon, following the likes of Melbourne-based Cable, Tom Gunn and Rebecca Manning and Brisbane label Easton Pearson.
