Witchery has unveiled the third ambassador for its 2020 White Shirt campaign, announcing Indigenous actor and advocate Miranda Tapsell as a face of the cause.

Acclaimed for her role on Love Child, Tapsell has also appeared in the popular film The Sapphires.

Most recently she co-wrote, produced and starred in the 2019 film Top End Wedding.

Raising awareness and much-needed funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF), Witchery has entered its 12th year supporting the campaign.

For every White Shirt sold, Witchery will donate 100% of the gross proceeds to the OCRF, helping the organisation work to develop an early detection test for ovarian cancer.

Tapsell said she was floored by the alarming statistics surrounding the cancer.

"When I heard that one woman dies every eight hours from ovarian cancer, I was shocked.

"It is important for me to align with meaningful campaigns and I have chosen to use my voice in helping make a difference and raising awareness for ovarian cancer," she said.

The Witchery White Cotton Shirt will be available online at witchery.com.au from May 6 and will retail for $129.95.
